A fit-first upgrade for someone who needs the shorter Mini band and wants USB-C charging, adjustable app EQ and an air-conduction driver for bass alongside bone conduction. Its IP55 rating needs to be considered with those conveniences.
A lower-cost choice if the standard band fits and you mainly want open-ear audio for exercise, physical buttons and a higher IP67 rating. The S803 uses its own magnetic charging cable and has two button-selectable EQ modes.

S821 has the shorter Mini band, which can suit someone left with excess band behind the head, while standard S803 leaves more room. The Pro 2 guide’s 23.5cm boundary measures from one ear’s center around the back of the head to the other, not hat circumference. Near that boundary, glasses and headwear can affect comfort; newer electronics do not make Mini a better fit for everyone.

For spoken programs, OpenRun already provides a Vocal Booster setting, so app access is not the only way to adjust speech. Both expose you to surrounding noise: a busy gym or road can mask a podcast. Judge useful audibility at a sensible volume in your usual setting, rather than expecting either design to isolate you.

S803 requires its matching magnetic lead, so leaving that lead at home matters more than a small difference in charging speed. The 12-hour and eight-hour figures are separately advertised maximums; volume and environment affect both. For a long event, charge fully and check how your own routine affects the remaining battery.

It does not establish a longer lifespan or make S803 suitable for swimming. At the checked prices, choose the KRW 66,500 upgrade only when the shorter fit and its daily features are useful; otherwise the standard S803 preserves the core open-ear controls and costs less.
