Both can open apps together
iPhone Duo and Galaxy Z Fold8 both support apps side by side on their inner screens. A calendar can sit beside a conversation, for example. Apple calls its approach Split View; Samsung documents Multi Window. Different names do not make the underlying benefit exclusive. This comparison concerns the regular Fold8, not the larger Fold8 Ultra. A feature checklist should acknowledge this overlap before claiming an advantage.
Screen size is not usable space
Apple announced controls positioned toward display edges. Samsung describes multiple-window layouts and transitions between screens. Button placement can affect where content fits and how a hand reaches it, but a demonstration cannot establish which arrangement works better in every app. The September 10 Meeco discussion contains both appreciation of Duo's transitions and questions about space occupied by its controls. These are individual reactions to the announcement, not results of a controlled usability study. A beautiful transition and comfortable everyday operation are related questions, not the same measurement.
An announcement is not a long-term test
Apple says Duo becomes available in South Korea on October 23. This September 12 comparison therefore cannot be a long-term user verdict. Samsung's source is its US product documentation, not a verification of every Korean app or software configuration. App developers still need to adapt interfaces to different layouts. Keyboard placement and left- or right-handed use also affect the experience. Those details make blanket statements about one company's software particularly unreliable. The evidence currently supports a clear account of shared capabilities and announced design choices. It does not establish an overall usability winner, and neither forum traffic nor the site's visitor vote should be described as the preference of all Korean users.
